Used CAT 120G Motor Grader: Inspection and Export Checklist
When comparing a used CAT 120G motor grader, evaluate the individual machine rather than relying on the model name alone. Production year, meter reading, serial number, maintenance history and configuration should be supported by current photographs and available records.
Inspect the machine and its working equipment
Request a cold-start video and footage of the machine moving and changing gears. Check for visible leaks and discuss any engine, transmission, axle or brake repairs with the seller. Ask for close-up photos of the blade, cutting edges, circle, drawbar, articulation area, tires and fitted attachments. A demonstration of the hydraulic functions helps you assess operation before arranging an independent inspection.
Confirm the identity and sale details
Compare the identification plate with the sales documents. Record the exact serial number, year and displayed hours, and ask whether the hour meter has been replaced. Confirm which attachments are included and obtain written details of any known defects or completed repairs. Availability and price must be confirmed for the specific unit being offered.
Prepare the export quotation
Provide the destination country and port, required delivery date and preferred shipping method. Request machine dimensions and weight for transport planning, an itemized FOB or CIF quotation, and a list of the export documents to be supplied. Confirm loading arrangements and payment terms before placing an order.
