What this reference is for

A systems-operation reference explains the normal path through a machine: where energy comes from, how a control signal is used, where oil or coolant goes, and what a component does in that path. It is different from an adjustment sheet. A circuit description can explain a symptom, but it does not supply a universal pressure setting or prove a particular part is defective.

In the inspected 320D hydraulic training material, the main pumps, pump control, pilot control, main control valve, swing and travel appear as separate but connected topics. That distinction matters: slow movement can involve the command path, the oil supply or the individual function. Reading only a pump parts page leaves out the rest of the system.

The 59-page 320GC example below opens with the DKJ machine context and C4.4 engine chapters. Its indexed subjects include cooling, lubrication, fuel injection, intake/exhaust and electronic control. It is an engine-system reference, not evidence that every 320GC hydraulic circuit is included or that DKJ data applies to every 320GC.

• The affected function and the components in its path, not just a part name.
• The normal control signal and oil, electrical or mechanical path.
• The model, serial prefix, engine and publication scope.
• A separate testing reference for measurements, limits and conditions.
